It most definitely has been a while since I got a chance to sit down and put what’s been happening with me down on paper .. well here anyway!
So last week I spent in Kirkham, Lancashire with our Boys’ Brigade annual camp and had a brilliant week! The weather was fantastic most of the time and there was so much banter and in-jokes to last us a lifetime. The highlight of my week was conquering my fear of roller-coasters at Blackpool Pleasure Beach … being more forced into it (Niall!) and pressured by peer pressure (Irwin!) than helpful encouragement but I still did it!
I think I’m still catching up on my sleep from camp as I write this but no rest for the wicked as they say … I’m off to Woodvale for my Summer Outreach team on Saturday. I’m really looking forward to it and we all got an email from the minister, Ken Doherty (not the snooker player as I first thought), welcoming us and saying he’s really looking forward to having us. This really encouraged me knowing that the minister is already on board with what we’re planning to do!
As with every team prayer is a massive part of the week and I’d really appreciate it if you could keep the team in your own prayers during the week.
