I haven’t posted anything in a while … not much has been happening really with the exception of being rejected from another job application with Cool FM which sounded perfect but I guess it wasn’t meant to be!

So for the mean-time I’m still working part-time and doing some freelance work on the side.

Last night I saw one of my favourite bands play the Odyssey.  I’d gotten the tickets for Christmas so had been looking forward to it for ages … finally it had arrived … Snow Patrol in the Odyssey … and it didn’t fail to disappoint.

The set they played was jammed with tracks covering their last three albums and Gary’s simple words after the opening “If There’s a Rocket Tie Me To It” of “Belfast … we’re home” electrified the crowd even more.

The full setlist went something like this …

  • If There’s A Rocket Tie Me To It
  • Chocolate
  • Hands Open
  • Spitting Games
  • How To Be Dead
  • Golden Floor
  • You Could Be Happy
  • Run
  • Make This Go On Forever
  • Shut Your Eyes
  • Chasing Cars
  • Set The Fire To The Third Bar
  • Crack The Shutters
  • Take Back The City
  • Open Your Eyes
  • The Lightning Strike
  • You’re All That I Have

An amazing night and although it was my fourth time of seeing them live, it was the first time I’ve seen them in Belfast … something about that made it just that little bit more special!
