The Loss Of An Icon …

It’s one of those moments in time that you remember what you were doing and where you were when you heard it … it happened to be just as I arrived home from a BB Camp meeting that my parents had the TV in the living room on Fox News and the sad news of the sudden death of Michael Jackson was revealed to me.

I’ll admit I was never a huge fan, possibly having only been born mid-way through the 1980’s didn’t help that, but being a music-lover it is tragic to see the loss of one of the industry’s most gifted and talented performers.

“What I enjoy most about performing is making people happy ┬áJust to make a person smile means more to me than anything.”
Michael Jackson (1958-2009)

  1. i don’t know man…for me its a loss of perspective as the world goes crazy over one natural causes death, yet we gloss over the genocides, ignore the preventable diseases and forget the child trafficking that fills our world.

i’ll maybe blog on it soon.

sad all the same in its own right!! good to stumble across your blog…
